Violet SkiesFunny how you're only frightened in your subconscious, violet sky.  Funny how you rely on those maddening mauve mirrors to get by.  Funny how you wake up screaming, losing more sleep every day,  only to find that those laugh tracks all turn lazy by the day.  Who's laughin' now, violet sky?

06. The BombI’m asleep with both eyes open,  and I’m traveling where boys ought not —  somewhere where the vampiric lilies die.  Motioning for a little water,  I phrase something with both my mouths  and figure out why the air’s so dry.

Into the LightIf sneezes were light, we'd all be feathers,  but instead we're soup ladles with only fair weathers.  If sneezes were light, the sun would come down with allergies,  and it'd have half of a hay fever, sick of my analogies.  If chortles were coughs, we'd all be chuckling iron lungs,  but regardless we're continuing on from rung to rung.   
So how can you suggest I go into the light,  ever-so-subtly with your sanctioned perfume?  I know what the sun looks like, and let me tell you,  it's a lot brighter than your maroon plumes.

Mechanical LoveWe better pray that our mechanical love  will help us understand the mechanics of love.  Eccentric servos giving off wired sparks--  --soon we'll have new doves that glow in the dark!  Fly that plane, pilot.  Even the sky knows you're a riot and a half.  That's right, sucker--you work for that airborne math.
